Mini Rotation but a big giveaway

My daughter has her fair share of character-covered tees – mostly hand-me-downs. And as a mom who gets down and kisses the ground when she gets free clothes handed down, I’m not about to turn my nose up at Dora-wear. To those folks who criticized Sarah Jessica Parker back in May for dressing her little man in passed down duds, I quote from the geniuses of Monty Python: “I fart in your general direction.” Classy? No. True? Well, duh.

And since we’re admitting our faults here, I’ve got to tell you – I’m not a fan of the character collection. They’re just so, well . . . ordinary. So I was kvelling (can you tell I’m from the Catskills?) when I learned adult fave Heavy Tees has a kids’ line. Born last fall, Mini Rotation has nary a character in sight, and they’re turning heads left and right.

With a collection of ’60s era iron-in designs from his father’s old business, owner Brian Holoubek spins out soft thermals that I can dress my daughter in at bedtime – and let her roll out in when we’re late for school. The kitch thermal is exactly as its name implies – covered in kitchy squirrels and kitties, the type you found on the covers of your mom’s old children’s books. The Number One Hero Tee is Japanimation meets Transformers – without the Disneyfied “every kid has this shirt” feel. And the Banana Splits Kids Tee makes me wanna scream for more.

So now that I’ve made you hungry (for among other things, a bowl of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla), I’ll offer up the best news – fabulous Sherri at Mini Rotation heard me kvelling from the middle of Milwaukee and offered up a pile of tees and onesies for all of you!

Want to win? Visit the Mini Rotation Infant and Tots shop by next Wednesday, Sept. 18, then come back to comment here on Inside Out about your favorite in the line. What’s your favorite design and why?
