What is it about motherhood that makes every bone in your body hurt?
First we spend nine months toting around a tummy that puts our weight off-center and pulls at every muscle in our backs. Then we move onto those awful infant carseat carriers that weigh half a ton or the baby slings that pull down our shoulders. By the time the kids are walking, we’re literally begging them to run away rather than forcing us to carry them yet again.
Yes, it’s a Monday and I’m cranky. But I have a little bit of a pick-me-up for mommies with achy hands. The Warm Me Warm Mouse is a simple computer mouse (and I know you all have computers) with a twist. Plug it into your computer’s USB port like you would any other mouse, and the Warm Me has a button to power up its warming capabilities. No extra plugs necessary – it runs off the computer. I picked up a similar concept for my mom for Christmas – a blanket that runs off of the USB when she’s cuddling in her armchair with the laptop.
I’d recommend the WarmMouse for laptop users too – its cord was a little too short for maneuvering around my messy desk. But the warmth is just what mom needs when her hand starts cramping after being curled around the mouse too long, searching for the last pieces of that Halloween costume or the symptoms of croup online. It works on Mac or PC, and all you have to do is plug it in.
