The Thanksgiving Reminder Every Mom Needs

I had to work on Wednesday this week, but because it was the day before Thanksgiving, the school system offered me a holiday gift of trying to function with a 7-year-old running around the house.

I let her play too much XBox and watch the entire season of Pound Puppies on her Kindle.

I’m a great mom, let me tell you.

But I’m not ashamed to admit that there are days that my daughter drives me absolutely nuts. Because we are human beings, and that’s what human beings DO to each other.

And also because after a somewhat crappy day that ended in a God awful sinus headache, the following happened to remind me what I’m truly thankful for this Thanksgiving:

She can drive me nuts and drive me nuts and drive me even more nuts. Because she always makes up for it.

What are you thankful for today?
