Giveaway: LEGO Watch Set (One Adult Watch, One Child’s Watch)

LEGO WatchesMost of us have style icons, people we want to dress like. For most of us, those people are not our kids. The “I got dressed in the dark” look stops being cute after age 10 or so. But as with any rule, there are exceptions.

If I loved it as a kid myself, I’ll make an exception. Like my kid, I loved LEGO. I could lose hours quietly building and creating worlds of adventure in my playroom, locked away from reality. When my kid was old enough not to swallow the little bricks, it was all I could do not to push them into her chubby little fingers and force her to start creating towers and houses and teeny tiny cars.

LEGO “may” be for kids, but this is one kid thing I’m proud not to have outgrown. All grown up and still big on bricks?

Did you know LEGO now has watches for us big people? I didn’t either! Until an email popped up in my inbox with the news that us big folks can now build our own watches!

Literally — these things come not only with LEGO-esque designs but bands and faces that can be changed out, as if you’re “building” your own watch. It’s a socially acceptable toy for grown ups! Of course they have kid versions too, made to match the various LEGO themes (my daughter got one from the LEGO Friends line which is right up her alley), so everyone can fly their geek flag!

So why am I telling you all of this? Aside from the obvious need to spread the love of LEGO far and wide? The folks behind the LEGO watch brand have offered up one set of watches to give away on Inside Out! One for Mom or Dad AND one for the kids. Want in?
